Punctures - microscopy of synovial fluid
Puncture of a swollen (fluid-filled) joint is a necessary medical procedure, both for the patient, who will be immediately relieved of symptoms, and for the Rheumatologist, who, by subsequently microscopically examining the synovial fluid, is able to diagnose the type of arthritis and administer the appropriate treatment.

Intraarticular injections
Within the joint cavity, there is the possibility of administering drugs for localized action , depending on the type of problem. Conditions in which intra-articular injections are an option are inflammatory, mainly monoarthritis, and degenerative arthropathies.

Ultrasound of the musculoskeletal system
Ultrasound of the musculoskeletal system is an emerging auxiliary tool in the hands of Rheumatologists, regarding the early diagnosis of inflammatory diseases, their prognosis and their differentiation from permanent joint damage .
